Is This Training Right for You?
Since 2012 or 2013 (or thereabouts), there has been an internet marketing program called OMG Machines that was the brain child of a couple of genius marketers by the name of Mike Long and David Mills. These guys had already made a ton of money in internet marketing, but they hadn’t seen anything like the guy for whom OMG Machines was named. OMG – or One Man Gang – refers to a guy named Greg Morrison who was (and still is) a phenomenal success when it came to making money online. The “one man gang” aspect of it is a tribute to the fact that Greg didn’t have a team of partners or outsources doing his work for him. He was – and still is – a workhorse.
Greg’s story was similar to many rags to riches stories – young guy is about to become a dad, and doesn’t have a virtual pot to piss in. Young guy has had money before, and squandered it. Young guy decides to pull himself up by his bootstraps and get to work and not stop until he makes it.
Here’s the rub: Turns out that Greg DID make it – but he still won’t stop.
When the Mike Long and David Mills team met Greg, they knew this guy had something special going on. So, being the excellent marketing pros that they are, they got Greg to join their merry band and voila: OMG Machines was born. At that time, the focus of the program was primarily on teaching students to rank client sites, and Greg was the lead coach with hours and hours of over the shoulder “how to do it” videos. Then, there were (and still are) hours and hours of webinars and calls. Even now, a few years later when he surely could afford to retire and take it easy, he won’t. He still works like a mad man, still gives of his time to hundreds and hundreds of people.
And now that he’s a dad, he does take time to spend with his little one, but he still works like a fiend!
Today’s program has expanded considerably to include a number of other teachers – which we’ll cover in a few minutes.
So much for the general background. If you’re here at this particular review, you have probably already seen that in order to get on the dance ticket at this particular party, you’re going to have to cough up about $7,000 these days.
I’ll give you a minute or two to pick your jaw up off the floor if that price tag gave you a bit of a shock. I understand the feeling. But, we’re not talking about a simple internet marketing course that is going to cover stuff like, “Okay, today, we’re going to learn how to host and make a WordPress site, and then we’re going to learn how to use the Google Keyword Planner tool, and then we’re going to talk about the importance of original content, and then we’re going to show you how to find your competition…”
It’s just not that simple a program or group. We are really talking about becoming part of a dynamic and cutting edge group – almost like an internet marketing think tank on steroids, led by super performing and successful entrepreneurs who currently use the methods they are teaching.
So, instead of just reaching into your wallet for your credit card, you decided to do a little due diligence to see if it’s worth the money. This is a wise move, and shows that you are using your head instead of just having a knee jerk response to buy the next “shiny button” to help you make loads of money on line.
There are already too many “shiny buttons” out there. Some programs are fine, of course. Others aren’t so awesome. The problem is, one day we’ll buy one program that promises to be the end-all and everything you need to start a business online. They might cost $100, they might cost $200 – or even $300 and up. You might buy one or two, thinking that “well, it’s not that much money, so if ‘it doesn’t work’ I haven’t lost much.” Notice I emphasized if “it doesn’t work?” It’s rare that a PROGRAM doesn’t “work” – it’s usually more like the PERSON who bought it didn’t work! Almost all those programs have at least some merit. But, without actually putting the stuff into play, it’s a sure waste of money.
And all of a sudden, you find you’ve spent a couple of thousands of dollars doing this. And then along comes this thing – with a price tag of $7,000 (or who knows what by the time you read this). So now it’s time to really sit down with yourself and have an interview with yourself to see if this is going to be a good investment for you.
IS it worth the money? Well, yes and no. It completely, 100% depends on the following factors – so read carefully:
– You can sit in a classroom for a year, but if you don’t do the work or – more importantly – apply the knowledge, then you have wasted your time. Same thing here. If you don’t learn and apply what the coaching team at One Man Gang teaches, you’re wasting your money and time.
– In this business, people make excuses for not succeeding, or they make progress – but never, ever both. Which are you? Think very carefully about your own attitude towards stuff like this. Do you make excuses? Or do you make progress? If you tend to make excuses, you’d best hold onto your $7,000.
– If you have to sell your house or car to get the $7,000 and you are not passionate about online marketing, you had best keep the house or car, and go buy a lesser program to see if this is actually something you MUST-do-or-else. Lookie-loos and luke-warm wannabees are not warmly welcomed into the fold, and even worse – there are absolutely NO refunds with OMG.
So, don’t do it if you can’t afford to spend $7,000. The idea is that once you begin learning and applying, that you want to get out there, pounding the pavement to get clients who are going to start paying you to work the magic that you learn as a result of your participation in OMG. It’s a serious bunch of men and women learning a seriously advanced set of skills, who take earning big money very, very seriously.
Now, let’s look at it from another angle.
Let’s say that you are ON FIRE about internet marketing, learning how to rank websites, and making money on line. Let’s say you are going to work on internet marketing long after the kids have gone to bed, instead of turning on Keeping up with the Kardashians or some other stupid waste of your brain time.
When you begin to interact with the different coaches inside the program, you are going to notice that very few of them talk about frivolous topics. Instead, they tell you – almost SHAME you – that it’s important to be relentless in your dreams. Make no mistake – it’s a lot of work to not only learn the ins and outs of the business, but you need to cut your teeth. In an industry where there are a thousand people wanting to get a piece of the client SEO pie, it’s critical to just jump in and start taking action. Some of these guys sleep only a few hours per night in their pursuit of success.
Some others have taken that stance because their backs are against the wall, and it’s all or nothing for them. A few good examples of this is Greg Morrison, himself, Joshua “Fletch” Fletcher – who once had his electricity or water or something turned off when he joined OMG, and a few others. I personally know a few others that I won’t name whom I have seen recover from near financial disaster and potential bankruptcy who have just worked until they made it. They sacrificed a lot at the time in order to have some financial peace in the future. They have spent thousands of dollars to learn the ropes, and they don’t have a moment to waste. It’s not unusual for the coaches to host phone calls or webinars on holidays. You soon find out who is really serious about changing their lives, and what they’ll do to make it happen.
Sometimes, these are a bit like “tests” so that the coaches can also get a handle on who is working on applying what they are learning. It’s almost like in college where, in a class, the professor takes notice of who is participating, and to what extent.
One thing you may not know about this program, but once it started a few years ago, with Greg as the primary teacher, there were a number of people who took what he taught and went absolutely nuts with it, and have had enormous success. It wasn’t long before students became almost like “teaching assistants” (to continue with the collage analogy), helping others in the group to the point where they themselves became teachers and coaches within the program.
Others still had their fair share of success, but took it further through the teachings of OMG, and have also become teachers.
Today’s coaches include such names as Kotton Grammer, Stephen Floyd, Liz Herrera, Joshua Fletcher, and others.
Let’s say that you’re going to tune into the coaching calls with a notepad ready to write down your next action steps instead of watching “the game” – even if it’s the playoffs. You’re going to deal with your negative wife or husband, driven to make them understand that this is all about success for THEM as well, and that’s why you aren’t going to the party at the Jones’ on Friday, because you need to make progress…Yeah – THAT’S how serious you are.
You’ll be finding yourself in good company if that’s how serious you are. You have a hunger that just will not be denied. You are putting every “Assimilation” webinar on your calendar, you are raising your hand, yelling, “Pick ME! Pick ME!” to put yourself in the “hot seat” where you allow everyone to see your progress as well as your weaknesses. You are going to be the one checking in to the Facebook group every day with encouragement and congratulations for others without worrying whether or not it will be reciprocated, because you are there to learn and do what it takes to succeed.
If that describes you, well, then welcome to the fold my friend. Welcome to the 1% of the population that WILL succeed in internet marketing. See you on the coaching calls.
